Group 1:African Americans.

  • Describe your assumptions, beliefs, and perceptions about members of this group.
  • There is an examined hypothesis that social class conceptions are radicalized, have low economic status, and are associated with Black America. In contrast, high financial quality is associated with White Americans. Cox and Devine (2015) found that when we think of category black person, many people seem to have the thought of being underprivileged even without having thee converse pattern. Moreover, black Americans are perceived as minority groups without fair rights. They are thought to be enjoying their rights and freedom theoretically since they have never had it practically. Their interaction with police is facilitated mainly by harassment.(Jackson& Saadatmand, 2017).

  • When you think about working professionally with this group’s members, are there traits, characteristics, or other issues that you would be curious about, concerned about, or intimidated by? Why would understanding diversity issues be important to you as a human services worker?
  • It is my wish if someday I would see myself have a Black American as a colleague. It shall sound as a dream come true triumph to have my curiosity quenched. I would be eager to know from them the feeling of someone possessing both traits of different races. Are they regretful of being who they are, or are they contented with their appearance? Do they know their ancestors were from the two continents? Either I would wish to know whether the so-called white superiority matters in the status quo and wealth accumulations.
  • Understanding of diversity issues is important to a human service worker.First, social service providers are likely to work with diverse people by the nature of changes in population inclinations in the United States. Families and individuals in the United States have become varied. Second, many of the problems that human service delivery systems are expected to address are experienced more often by ethnic minorities. There are significant disparities between the majority population’s socio-emotional and physical health and ethnic minorities and non-Hispanic Whites in the United States. Both race and ethnicity are key factors associated with this health (Jackson & Saadatmand, 2017).
  • How could advance knowledge of the group address concerns and assumptions?
  • With the advanced knowledge and of the Black Americans, the

Concerns and assumptions, the facts about the Black Americans’ social, economic statuses could be realized. The premises of their denial of fair and equal human rights. It would be the absolute reality of the rumors about police harassment and jailing for innocent civilians. If any, the need to scrutinize deeper into its root causes and what measures should be put into practices to curb the issues.

  • What kind of information, learning experiences, contact, and so forth would you need to increase your knowledge about the group?
  • Coming into contact with Black Americans would grant a golden chance of enhancing my understanding of their social, economic, cultural, religious, and political aspects of life since Black Americans are known for having struggled with anti-racism in their daily workplaces. I would advantageously imitate their survival techniques, analyze and start working towards possible opportunities to enable the group to pop out of the challenge.(Jackson & Saadatmand, 2017).

Group 2: People Over 60.

  • Describe your assumptions, beliefs, and perceptions about members of this group.
  • I assume that people above sixty years are those who must have at the moment in their early life done something or their ancestors did pleasing to deserve a gift of long life from the Supreme Being., I believe that this is a group of people who have a wide range of experience in the occupation they had in their young hood. My perception is that these are the category of people who should be used in various organizational departments to equip the trainees with the necessary skills needed in their future career demand.
  • When you think about working professionally with this group’s members, are there traits, characteristics, or other issues that you would be curious about, concerned about, or intimidated by? Why would understanding diversity issues be important to you as a human services worker?
  • While working with people over sixty years, there is more to acquire from and learn from them. Having in career for many decades dictates endowed wisdom gained from their daily experiences and challenges, which stimulates and builds room for wider mental exploration to come up with solutions.
  • As a human services employee, very much have benefited as a result of understanding diversity. (Damazio et al., 2017).

  • How could advance knowledge of the group address concerns and assumptions?
  • The group being known for its long life and its wide experience in the workplace. I would take the chance to meticulously. Learn and enrich my problem-solving skills.
  • What kind of information, learning experiences, contact, and so forth would you need to increase your knowledge about this group?
  • Past ways of solving, adapting, or surviving would be my passion. By studying the past, past mistakes and strategies applied to counter past challenges would be of great importance to future generations.
  • The kind of information I would wish to know from this group would behow they deal with global pandemics, what could be their root causes, and what was done to overcome it? Bee they literate or not, people over 60 are the most useful proprietors who, if realized and well exploited, can be of great impact not only to society but to the entire world.(Damazio et al., 2017).

Group 3:Unemployed people over 50

  • Describe your assumptions, beliefs, and perceptions about members of this group.
  • My assumptions could be, unemployed people over the 50years are not passionate about being employed, they lack opportunity, they are lazy, they are disabled, they have unhealthy conditions, or they have accumulated enough wealth for their life span, or they are their managers. Unemployed people over 50 are either extremely poor or rich, but no negotiation between the gaps.
  • When you think about working professionally with this group’s members, are there traits, characteristics, or other issues that you would be curious about, concerned about, or intimidated by? Why would understanding diversity issues be important to you as a human services worker?
  • As I had put earlier, unemployed could either be their bosses or those who lack that opportunity. Working with my boss would be a golden chance. As the saying goes, associate with four billionaires, and you will automatically be the fifth one. Neither would I look down upon the person without opportunity. His hard situation would have too taught him something useful.

  • How could advance knowledge of the group address concerns and assumptions?
  • Working with diverse personnel has extra benefits not only for the work output but also for colleagues. Some personnel have the ideas but lack the ability; those who have the capabilities lack ideas. Those who possess both have the so diverse, their inclusiveness remains the only strategy to win the game. Many ideas, abilities, and plans contribute a lot when incorporate.

  • What kind of information, learning experiences, contact, and so forth would you need to increase your knowledge about this group?
  • Much is needed to be revealed about the group. Those who had time secured a job, what happened, were the means of losing it avoidable? And then what should be not repeated. Those who are currently their bosses would advise young men on how to optimally tap available resources and strategies of elevating business challenges/ threats. (Banham, 2018).

Group 4: immigrants

  • Describe your assumptions, beliefs, and perceptions about members of this group.
  • May be immigrants have departed there mother countries and come into present countries for business purposes, for tourism, because of political instabilities, natural disasters, or educational purposes. If they have migrated for positive reasons, they enjoy their current locations. Still, because of the negative circumstances, they are psychologically unstable, and there is the emphasis to be specially treated in their contemporary affairs. All immigrants have a wide range of exposure, whether positive or negative, and there is a lot to learn from them.(Banham, 2018).
  • When you think about working professionally with this group’s members, are there traits, characteristics, or other issues that you would be curious about, concerned about, or intimidated by? Why would understanding diversity issues be important to you as a human services worker?
  • Professionally working with immigrants can be very exciting. Since diversity would be achieved, there could be a very productive work input facilitated by combined work skills, wide experiences, and knowledge. A variety of human resources would mean daily innovation and new inventions for the benefit of an organization.
  • How could advance knowledge of the group address concerns and assumptions?
  • Daily associations with immigrants in the workplace would be an opportunity to learn from them. The information drawn from them is purely first hand; hence chances of misinformation are minimized. The group would substantially express what is assumed of them in unambiguous routine, erasing society’s minds what is deceptively labeled with them and painting new images about themselves.
  • What kind of information, learning experiences, contact, and so forth would you need to increase your knowledge about this group?
  • Knowing their backgrounds, reasons for migrations and their judgment, similarities, and contradictions between the two countries would quench my curiosity. Likewise, learning more about social, political, and, most important, the social-economic organization in their previous countrieswould benefit many. (Banham, 2018).
