WE WRITE ESSAYS FOR STUDENTS
Tell us about your assignment and we will find the best writer for your paper.
Write My Essay For Methere must have 2 scholarly articles minimum. I’m like a B student so I don’t want an “above and beyond” paper. It’s a research paper with a point to be persuasive with the information gathered. I want the paper to be about self affirmations, why we should use them, and how they can improve our mental health throughout life. throw in examples of self affirmations that maybe are more specific to college students in the age of zoom fatigue.
3: Research Argument
Introduction/Rationale
Now it’s time to embark on the research study you’ve prepared for in Project 2. In Project 2, you learned how to craft a personalized research process to help you “read in” to a topic that interests you. It is time to take those research skills and put them to use in building persuasive arguments about your topic, targeted to a specific audience. The objective of this is to develop an argument about an issue you’ve identified within your topic and to compose an academic essay that compellingly makes this argument to an academic audience. Unlike in the I-Search project, here you will be focusing on writing in an academic tone and style, developing your ethos as researchers by using an “academic voice” to respond to or join the conversation you see happening.
Consider the research from your I-Search Project. What are the major trends in conversations within this topic? Where are there disagreements between authors that you see the potential to address? What gaps appear present in the conversation? For example, has no author yet made a specific argument you see as important? Or, do you perceive a course of action to address a problem previous authors have identified but could not resolve? It is important that your Research Argument make an original contribution to your topic of study. This can take the form of a new insight, a reconsideration of overlooked or undervalued information, a proposal for present action, or many other forms.
In order to make the case for the need of your argument to the topic, it may be helpful to explain to your reader the state of research on your topic and then introduce your argument as a necessary component to that conversation.
To help develop your understanding of academic discourse, you will be asked to examine publications in undergraduate research journals. These journals serve as places for students like you to publish their research and participate in a particular conversation…one that you will join.
At the end of this project, the goals are:
- To have composed a paper that is appropriate for submission to a real-life academic forum, such as an undergraduate research journal.
- To be practicing the research strategies you’ve developed in Project 2—posing research questions, figuring out where to look to find the answers we seek, locating and evaluating scholarly and popular sources, reading the conversation (figuring out who’s saying what about your topic, where are there gaps? are scholars not talking about something? what’s missing?) and figuring out how you can contribute.
As your instructor, I will use this assignment to assess your achievement across both of these goals.
Assignment Prompt
Your final paper should make the reader feel like the argument you are making is reasonable and persuasive, supported by research-based evidence (a reason it is very important to be strategic with your choice and use of sources, to keep excellent notes on rhetorical analysis of sources, and to sketch out the conversation accurately).
You will integrate data gathered through your research into the conversation that you have already begun to identify in your I-Search project. You will further your knowledge by adding at least 4 new sources to the three sources from your I-Search Works Cited list. At least 2 of your new sources must be scholarly.
In order to successfully complete this essay assignment, you will need to:
- Make a claim that contributes something original to your topic of study. For suggestions, consider types of claims in From Inquiry to Academic Writing Chapter 9.
- Support your claim throughout your essay with examples and evidence gathered through your research methods.
- Identify and clearly target a specific academic audience with your writing, considering whether that audience is comprised of insiders or outsiders relative to your community of observation.
