Some possible images children may have of God is that he is bright like the sun. A child may hear someone read a scripture out of the Bible of Jesus being a bright and morning star. That particular child may imagine Jesus as being literally a star in the sky. As a child, I imagined God is a huge person with so much power. Children usually have innocent imaginations and they tend to believe in what they hear. This is a very sensitive time in a child’s development stages. Parents should direct a child’s imagination in a healthy direction but also make sure they do not stop the child from thinking “outside the box”. As an adult, my imagination of God has changed due to me having the knowledge and wisdom of God. As a child visualizing God the way I did, allow me to better connect with God the way I could relate.
