DISCUSSION BORROWED OR SHARED THEORIES
Learning
Having sat and thought of my learning technics rather styles, I came to understand that I have a couple of learning techniques that vary depending with the units am learning. The learning techniques vary from visual, auditory to tactile learning. But when it comes to my patients they tend to be more of auditory learners, since they learn from listening (McKenna et al., 2018).
My patients are congruent and most of them tend to prefer listening to me instead of using other learning skills. Patient preference to this kind of learning experience enables them to have a direct conversation of how they feel and with this they are able to get brief explanations about their illness.
Auditory learning has greatly helped the patients since they get first-hand information and their questions are greatly and efficiently answered. With the knowledge they have gained and heard directly from the medical personnel they are able to live health and maintain a healthy lifestyle. In addition auditory learning goes hand in hand with tactile learning in that it involves the learner to engage in physical activities in order for them to experience the practical information and techniques.
Different patients require different learning techniques. Variation in this kind of techniques helps the patient live in a healthy lifestyle. For instance a patient undergoing to be treated a certain illness will require auditory learning while the other who has back pains will require physiotherapy which will require tactile learning which is basically physical therapy.
With this in mind it is therefore just to say that patients have different learning experiences which tend to be more helpful to them in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
