Objectives

Marketing planning is the systematic process of assessing marketing opportunities, allocating resources, determining marketing objectives, defining marketing strategies, and establishing procedures for implementation and control of marketing activities. The outcome of planning is a document that outlines the activities and objectives necessary to implement marketing strategies successfully—a Marketing Plan. The process of creating a marketing plan provides a framework that stimulates critical thinking and provides a strategy through the application of core business skills. Upon completion of this project, the student will be able to address all questions that arise when considering the 5C’s, STP, and 4P’s that constitute the Marketing Framework.

There are eight parts to the project as detailed on the Scoring Rubric:

Written Report

The Marketing Plan report must be single-sided, double-spaced, one-inch margins (top, bottom, right, left), Times New Roman, 12-point font size. Include a cover page with your title, course name, student names, and the date submitted. The order of Parts and Sections shown on the Scoring Rubric must be maintained. Each Part and Section must be clearly labeled. Must contain (minimum) five (5) peer-reviewed, scholarly sources and your textbook. Citations must be used and must be linked to your References (Sources of Information) listed at the end of the report. APA appropriate citation format (examples available on Internet).
